Departing from these questions, we organised a first experimental low(no)-tech walk-shop to explore the landscape of Leidsche Rijn and imagine its futures together with a group of local residents.

how did we do it?

> Explore the landscape of the neighbourhood & collect fragments
> Themes: sustainability, nature, food
> Roles: Photographer, Map Maker, Note Taker, Collector
> 'Data collection' pack: instant camera & 10 photos, notebook, coloured pen & paper, canvas bag, glass jars, envelopes

Step 1:(Data) Walk // data collection

Step 2: Mapping // data processing

> Discuss 'data' collected and walk experience
> Place all fragments of the collections on a tablecloth
> Make associations between data, linking the fragments with tape to create a 'constellation'
> Annotate connections and identify emergent themes

Step 3: Postcards for the future // data uses

> Based on the processed data and themes, write a postcard for the future of the neighbourhood
> Use any elements from the constellation to create it
> Imagine you are an object or element from nature, encountered in the walk

Step 4: Dissemination // datafication otherwise?

> Create displays of the postcards for wider dissemination
> Invite reflections and contributions from residents

Hoe deden we dat?

Stap 1:(Data) Wandeling // data collectie

> Onderzoek het landschap van je buurt en verzamel fragmenten
> Thema's: duurzaamheid, natuur, voedsel
> Rollen: Fotograaf, Kaartmaker, Notulist, Verzamelaar
> 'Data collectie' pakket: instant camera & 10 foto's, notitieboekje, gekleurde pen & papier, canvas tas, glazen potjes, envelloppen

Stap 2: In kaart brengen // data verwerking

> Bespreek verzamelde 'data' en ervaring van de wandeling
> Plaats alle fragmenten van de collectie op het tafelkleed
> Maak associaties tussen de data, verbind de fragmenten met tape om een 'stelsel' te maken
> Annotate connections and identify emergent themes

Stap 3: Ansichtkaarten voor de toekomst // data gebruik

> Schrijf een ansichtkaart voor de toekomst van de buurt, gebaseerd op het verwerkte materiaal en de thema's.
> Gebruik enkele elementen uit het 'stelsel' om het te maken
> Stel je voor dat je een object of element uit de de natuur bent, dat je tijdens de wandeling bent tegen gekomen.

Stap 4: Disseminatie // Anders-dataficatie

> Stel de ansichtkaarten ten toon voor verdere disseminatie.
> Vraag buurtbewoners om reflecties en aanvullingen

Vanuit deze vragen, organiseerden we onze eerste experimentele low(no)-tech data wandeling workshop om het landschap van Leidsche Rijn te onderzoeken en samen met een groep buurtbewoners de toekomst te verbeelden.
